Level 1 – भाषाङ्कुरः

Registration for Level 1 – from 2^nd to 25^th Nov., 2024; Course starts in 2^nd week of Dec. 2024

At this level, the concepts of संस्कृतव्याकरण are understood in Marathi or English. Our learning book भाषाङ्कुरः should be referred to. Interested ones who can understand Marathi or English are eligible for this level (approx. age 13 years). They may communicate in Marathi/ English/ Hindi/ Sanskrit.

The goal of this level is enabling learners to master the basic concepts of व्याकरण, split words by knowing Sandhi rules and recognise forms to some extent.

Method of Learning

Learners must comprehend भाषाङ्कुरः in the prescribed steps:

1. Step 1 – ग्रहणम् : In every week, 3-4 Lessons must be read and understood (maximum one in one day). In this way, 64 Lessons must be completed in 16-18 weeks (4-5 months).
2. Step 2 – चिन्तनम् – The Lesson understood must be discussed with other learners.
3. Step 3 – स्वाध्यायः – The exercises of the Lesson discussed must be solved individually and further should be verified with other learners.
4. Step 4 – अनुवादः परीक्षणं च – On the weekend, the faculty of SSF will guide the learners regarding queries. They will ask questions thoroughly about the Lessons completed that week.

Testing our knowledge

Midway mark: After completing 29 Lessons (around 8 weeks), two online tests for a total of 100 marks will be conducted – 50 marks MCQs and 50 marks orals. This test will be for self-assessment, and its marks will not be considered for final exams.

Completion: After completing all 64 Lessons (around 18 weeks), a preparation time of 4-6 weeks will be given for the final exam. After that (i.e. at the end of the 6th month), final exams for a total of 200 marks will be conducted – 100 marks MCQs and 100 marks orals.

Passing score : 70 marks or above in both the oral and written exams. The learners will get a certificate and cash prize on passing.

भाषाङ्कुरविद्

On scoring 90 or more marks, the learner will be eligible for the भाषाङ्कुरविद् award. The eligible learners will get the award of a copper plate engraved भाषाङ्कुरविद्. The learners, who have not completed 25 years on or before 1st May 2025, will get a special cash prize. They will get a maximum of two attempts for this award and a special cash prize.

One batch will have a maximum of 20 learners.

Learners are expected to diligently and regularly follow the Four Steps of Learning described above.

• Document for proof of Identity (Aadhar/Passport/Citizenship proof) with age proof

How to Register

• Google form will be sent on WhatsApp. It should be submitted on or before 25th Nov.
• The registration of students will be confirmed between 26th Nov. to 30th Nov.

Note : A learner can directly qualify for Level 2 or 3 by passing the Level 1 exam when it is conducted.
